What’s B.o.B doing releasing a “Play the Guitar” video now? Thing’s about half a year old. Is it Andre? Did playing the guitar on God Forgives, I Don’t unlock his guitar-playing dreams? Are there really no more promising singles on the single-stuffed Strange Clouds? Is there just that much of a shortage of PLAYING THE GUITAR (and its Bo Diddley sample, or Bo Diddley samples in general) this year?
Sure, OK. We’ll accept that there is a distinct shortage lately of B.o.B playing the guitar. We will also accept that there is a distinct shortage of Lite Brite-inspired videos. This isn’t technically Lite Brite–there’s also a distinct shortage of color, the video being grayscale–but the dot matrix animation is more or less the same idea. Pretty mesmerizing stuff, all around, and guitar-heavy to boot. (Even if the guitar animations look like they’re humping the air half the time. The perils of pixels!)
