Ahh, young love. Touching under any circumstance, but particularly awww-worthy when between two good-looking people on the verge of becoming very famous. Such was the case when an 18-year-old Rita Ora met a then-largely-unknown Bruno Mars upon signing to Roc Nation back in 2009. Rita tells the tale of falling in “love at first sight” with the immaculately coifed crooner, before fame and scheduling got in the way of their blooming romance :
We met in 2009. I was 18 and starting out at Roc Nation. Bruno was unknown back then too…Our time together was wonderful. But once we got famous, work got in the way….We ended it last year. But we remained close. And when we were together we were so happy.
I know—tears, right? It seems like a good fit pop couple-wise—hey, Drake can’t be linked with absolutely everyone—and it sounds like their relationship didn’t ever really even end, just detoured for a while. We hope these two crazy kids can find their way back together—or at the very least, that we get a movie based on their star-crossed relationship. Rita can play herself, even!
