Veteran K-diva, Baek Ji Young, really knows how to make a comeback. From a reputation-damaging sex tape to several sales slumps, the 36-year-old has had her fair share of career highs and lows over the years, but she’s always managed to climb her way back to the top. Her most recent glittering comeback came after joining the Korean version of The Voice earlier this year, which helped propel her singles, “Voice” and “Good Boy,” straight to the top of the K-pop charts.

We’re expecting Ji Young to own the scene once again now that news of her next big return has been confirmed. Today, her agency announced that the songstress will live up to her “Queen of Ballads” title by dropping a new ballad single in January.

With season two of The Voice Korea set to premiere early next year, January is the perfect time for Ji Young to slam dunk her next smash. And we’re pretty glad that it’s a ballad, as her Leessang chart-topper, “Voice,” was definitely a lot more impressive than the electro “Good Boy.” Not to say that dance diva Ji Young isn’t hot, too — the underrated “Bad Girl” still slays to this day.
